FIELD LOG — INDIE DEV
Seth
Brown
Indie Game Developer & CS Student
I build small survival and horror games that ship, write the tools and platforms around them, and I'm currently studying Computer Science on my way to a bachelor's degree. This is the build log.
01 — About
Player Card
I'm an indie game developer publishing under the studio name O2cool168 on Google Play, with a soft spot for the genre where a cold environment and a single warm light source do most of the storytelling — survival and horror. My first shipped title, COLD, started life as a Scratch project before I rebuilt it in Godot 4 and took it through Google Play's full publishing pipeline: AdMob, a privacy policy, and the Data Safety declarations most solo devs dread.
Alongside games, I build the platforms and infrastructure around them — Zebonastic is a Next.js site I write game-dev articles and build template tooling for, hosted straight off GitHub Pages. I'm currently studying Computer Science, starting at Snow College this fall before transferring to the University of Utah to finish my bachelor's degree.
My games are scattered across Google Play, itch.io, and Scratch — Scratch is where most of these prototypes actually started — and a Steam release is next on the roadmap.
02 — Games
Shipped & In Development
Four titles live in Production on Google Play, two more are working through testing, two are earlier-stage builds, and a Steam release is next on the list.
Shipped — Production
COLD
A cold-weather survival game, rebuilt from a Scratch prototype into Godot 4 and taken through full Google Play publishing — AdMob, privacy policy, Data Safety.
Cold Signal
The newest entry in the Cold lineup, live on Google Play.
Bubble Pop
An arcade bubble-tapping game built for quick, replayable sessions — published on Google Play.
Base Clicker
An idle/clicker game about building up a base one tap at a time — published on Google Play.
In Testing
Blow Things Up
An arcade game about blowing things up, currently working through closed testing on Google Play.
SpongeBob: Bubble Odyssey
A browser platformer, now going through internal testing ahead of an Android release.
In Development
Haunt and Harvest
A co-op horror survival game in Godot 4, in the spirit of Phasmophobia and Lethal Company — built for playing scared with friends.
Midnight Fuel
A Roblox horror game with fully scripted intro and menu systems, built in Luau.
Coming Next
Steam
Working toward getting a title onto Steam — the next platform on the list after Google Play, itch.io, and Scratch.
03 — Web & Ventures
Outside the Game Loop
The platform and the side venture that run alongside the games — plus who helps make them happen.
Web Platform
Zebonastic
A game-template builder and article platform, built with Next.js and hosted on GitHub Pages. I write about game development there, produce video explainers with data charts, and I'm exploring AdSense as a monetization path.
Side Venture
PixelBeadCo
A perler bead keychain business on Etsy — pixel art made physical. Same low-res, high-craft instinct as the games, just made of beads instead of sprites.
